Adaptive Yoga

Yoga by its very nature is a highly personal discipline and can be easily adapted to individual needs. Yoga is known for many benefits for the mind and body alike. It is especially praised for helping with back pain, elevating mood and increasing body acceptance. Other benefits depend on what style of yoga you practice and I offer several options, ranging from floor based practices (yin and restorative), chair yoga (either seated practice or using a chair to access more challenging postures) or practice on a mat.

I teach yoga to people living with different disabilities and chronic conditions to help them alleviate the symptoms or simply bring more relaxation and joy into their life.

I’ve worked with people with:

  • Visual Impairments
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Dandy Walker Syndrome
  • Cancer
  • Asperger Syndrome
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • PTSD and CPTSD
  • intellectual deficit
  • Down Syndrome
